OUR EXPERIENCE
Since 1961, Lewis Engineering has supported manufacturers across a wide range of industries, from aerospace and industrial production to mission-critical defense work. Our largest customer today is the U.S. Department of Defense, for whom we produce components like mortar rounds, signal flares, decoy flares, and fuze wells for precision-guided munitions.
We specialize in high-quantity, close-tolerance machining and stamping projects, and we’re known for doing them right. While our equipment is state-of-the-art, it’s our people who make the difference: a skilled, approachable team committed to clear communication, consistent quality, and long-term relationships. OUR HISTORY
Our machining experience spans four generations, and our quality is a mainstay.
Lewis Engineering has been a family business from the beginning, and that’s still at the heart of who we are today. In 1961, Clayton Lewis and his son Roger opened a manufacturing firm in Marshall, Texas, to produce high-quality metal stampings and fabrications. What started as one building, five employees, and a handful of machines has grown into a multi-facility operation serving some of the most respected manufacturers in the country.
Now in our third and fourth generations of leadership, Lewis Engineering is run by Clayton’s grandson Steve and great-grandson Doug. Our shop spans five buildings with 42,000 square feet of production space, and we’re proud to be one of the most capable independent stamping, turning, and assembly plants in the Texas-Arkansas-Louisiana region.
Our growth has always been rooted in two things: investing in state-of-the-art machinery and equipment and investing in the right people. That mindset helps us stay ahead of customer needs, whether that means adapting our process or improving what’s already working.
Our organization is structured on one basic principle: You, as the customer, are unique, and it’s up to us to tailor our operation to fit your needs. With this attitude, Lewis Engineering stays flexible, sharp, and committed to doing the job right, on spec and on schedule.
